Casablanca 20th Birthday

6 years ago, my daughter decided to celebrate her 20th birthday in the marvelous city of Casablanca.

It took place in one of the nicest beach hotels in town. Over fifty people were invited that evening. Most of them were friends from the US and Europe, and some were family members from Morocco.

It was a beautiful summer night the sky was so clear and blue and with few sparkling stars. Looked like a pretty midnight blue cocktail dress. The restaurant where the party took place overlooked the sea; the waves and the birds sound was so relaxing and calming to the ear.

The music she chose was the Famous Andalusia/Moroccan music, and some flamenco dance. Almost everybody enjoyed and danced that evening. My daughter was so happy; she danced all

Everybody calls her Miss Pink at school and at home. It was a long adorable fascia pink dress. She had her hair done by her favorite hairdresser, and had her favorite evening style. “les anglaises." She looked very pretty, slim and attractive that evening She received many compliments from friends and family.

The party went on until 4 AM in the morning, all our guests were so happy and looked like they were enjoying the evening a great deal indeed.

She received so many presents that evening; we couldn’t possibly bring all of them home. She left most of them with my mother to look after them until next time she comes for a visit to Casablanca. But one of the best presents was given to her by her grandfather, a trip to turkey; a country that she always wanted to visit. She was over the moon, she said that that was the best present she had ever received and that really made her night and put her in the happiest mood during all her visit to morocco.

Since that night, and every time her birthday approaches, she remembers that wonderful evening, and she says I wish I can have another celebration like the one I had in Casablanca.

My daughter now is 27 years old; she is planning to have her 30th birthday and her wedding in Casablanca. I hope everything goes well for her, and that all her dreams and wishes come

It gets stupidly hot in Danielsville, Louisiana, especially around summer. This would be fine I guess if we had something to do, to keep our mind off of the heat but there isn’t anything to do. Danielsville, Louisiana has three churches (Pentecostal), twice as many bars, one high school and no books stores or libraries. This means you’re either too drunk to read, or too Christian to read anything good. Big enough to have a mayor’s house, but not big enough to be on any map of any kind, it’s the kind of town where everyone knows your name and basically everything about you.…
