Now cars can reach unthinkable speeds and some can even fly, but that's not how it started. In the 1920’s cars had just introduced four wheel drive. Roads were becoming more and more common, because of that car's needed to start using roovs instead of just and open top. With cars becoming sedans there was a need for heating in cars(1920’s automobiles). In the 1930’s cars became more aerodynamic. The 1930’s were the first years that cars had radios and windshield wipers. At the end of the thirties car sales were down because of the Great Depression(1930’s automobiles). They came in all new shapes and sizes that made the market for cars better. The fifties also led to new speeds in cars, cars could now reach over one hundred miles per hour. Since cars were very popular and common there was a need for lights on the back of cars, so the fifties are when taillights were introduced to cars(1950’s automobiles). The seventies led to more compact fuel efficient cars because of an oil crisis, because of that diesel engines became very popular and more common. In the eighties cars reached new limits. Ferrari was able to make the Ferrari F40, which could top speed of over two hundred miles per hour(1970’s automobiles). The F40 was the first car to ever reach over two hundred miles per hour. The eighties also included every car having an AM/FM radio. The nineties made SUV’s very popular and affordable. In the nineties due to the war, hummers became very popular(1990’s automobiles). Over time cars have had a huge impact on the environment and society. Some of those impacts are good, but others are not as good. One of the bad things is that cars put out a lot of pollution into the air. The pollution includes toxic gases, which affect vital organs, but that is only in rare cases. Another negative affect that cars have
