Carrie Fisher was a talented actress, wonderful mother, and inspiration for all. A woman who overcame her problems and showed the world she could do anything she put her mind to, Carrie Fisher had amazing potential. Even though she struggled with drug abuse along with mental disorders, she was an amazing actress and role model because she made women feel powerful and she was an advocate for mental health. Carrie Frances Fisher was born October 21, 1956. She was delivered in Burbank, California to parents Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher. Her mother Debbie Reynolds became a star in 1952 when she performed in Singin’ in the Rain. She also wrote three autobiographies. Married three times with two children, she grew up with a Protestant faith and was in beauty pageants.
