Carolyn White Journey

Every journey should come to an end. This semester is the journey I had with Professor Carolyn White. I was worried at the beginning of the class that I would not meet the level of the class academically. All my paper works that I submitted were graded and I got high B’s in all of them, but this grade wasn’t my goal ever. My aiming in this class is to get an A at the end. Professor White recommended me to sit with the writing center and they will help me improve my paper. I was lucky to be there. They changed my entire way of thinking and helped me find academic sources I was looking for long time ago. After visiting the writing center couple of times my grades began to change in this class. Each four students sit beside each others and give their feedback to their friends. The smart idea Professor White had, lead to multiple readers’ opinion about the paper. It shows how clear the paper is, and how effective the claim or the reason was. Furthermore, It was obvious that English is my second language. So I faced some difficulties in the amount of words would write about. I used to write one page long for high school argumentative essay. I thought that the maximum number of pages my brain can think of is six pages, but this class showed me something else. I was able to write an academic paper that Is 14 pages long. At the end of the semester every student made a media project that reflect his or her argumentative essay. I created a video script using VideoScribe application. This app is easy to use, yet time consuming. It took me about 8 hours to create a great 5 min video. I believe that I am not used to the app itself. If I was going to make another story, it would take me less time and the video might be higher in quality. Practice makes everything less energy
