Caroline Harrison is known as one of America's first ladies of the United States. She was known as the position after she had married a man by the name of Benjamin Harrison in 1853. She was known as a humorous, fun loving women who became quite fond of reading and painting. But before we go into to detail about her adulthood let's begin from when it all started in early October. On October 1, 1892 Caroline Lavinia Scott Harrison was born. She had grown up with two sisters with the names of Elizabeth and Mary, and two brothers by the names of John and Henry. Her father was a professor at the Miami University in Oxford. He wanted to make sure that her and her sisters had a good education as her brothers did. Even though with the wealthy life of her husband being the first president of the United States Caroline focused on more of the issues of women. Caroline also focused mainly on the electricity of the white house and wanted to add larger buildings on the east and west side of the house. Due to political timings, she was not able to go on with her plans of adding more structures. But she was able to add a bathroom and turn one bedroom into two rooms from the west wing.Caroline also was disgusted by how dirty some of the rooms of the white house we're. Since she didn't like that, she cleaned every single room in the house even the kitchen. In 1858 she had her second child named Mary Scott, then three years later had her third child with no name in 1861. Continuing her passion for art, she taught lessons for free to anyone who asked. Caroline and her family continued to live happily, until she lapsed semiconscious in the White House on October 25, 1892 and sadly died a few hours
