Carlos Santana is one of the most important guitarists worldwide of all times. Santana was born on July 20, 1947 in Mexico, but became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1965. When he was a teenager, his family moved to San Francisco where his career as a guitarist first started. It was in the early 1960’s when Santana formed the Santana Blues Band, they got signed to Columbia where the band released several albums. He plays Latin rock, blues rock and jazz fusion and this music was influenced by several blues performers for example, B.B. King, and John Lee Hooker. With his well-known musical signature, Santana has been able to transcend in many cultural and geographical boundaries. Santana has won 10 Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammy
