Visiting the Carlos Museum was a great experience for me. The Michael C. Carlos Museum has a level one and a level three. Level one consists of one of the largest ancient art collections in the Southeast including objects from Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, the Near East, Africa and ancient Americas. I was able to learn about different customs and interests that reflected certain ancient cultures. In Ancient Egypt they believed strongly in the power of sociology. Most women in Ancient Greece had fair complexions and fertility was highly valued for women as part of their culture. I felt as though this was an act of social stratification, because most women had to have a certain type of skin complexion and it was the women's responsibility to conceive.
