Carli plays for the United States National Soccer team and currently just signed a contract to play in the European league for Manchester City. Soccer players come in all shapes and sizes yet this woman defies it all. Going through a rough family life, Carli still seems to always find a way to the top. Being a “role model” for younger girls, Carli has portrayed herself as a dominant, strong, witty, intelligent, person and her social media, interviews, and websites portray that. Due to the low payment from the Women's United States National Soccer team, most of her website is filled with other ways for Lloyd to make money. It offers soccer camps, the opportunity to buy gear and her book, All Heart. Although her website mostly promotes sales, however Carli also has a special place where fans can contact Lloyd and she will respond (Lloyd). She is good with communicating with her fans but through her website she requests that you do not ask for an autograph but other than that you are free to send her a letter and she will get back to you when she can. Another thing people can find on Carli Lloyd’s website is all her sponsors: Xfinity, Visa, Hand and Stone, NJM Insurance Group, Nike, USA Soccer, Heineken, Krave, Lifeway, Beats by Dre, Whole Foods, Missions, United, and all the current soccer team she is on …show more content…

The top players on the women's team are paid about $72,000 a year by U.S. Soccer, along with bonuses, to play in a minimum of 20 exhibitions a year and their male counterparts would earn $100,000 minimum for appearing in the 20 games before the opponents and outcomes are figured in, according to the complaint. The men receive larger bonuses for wins. (USA Today)
Not only are the wages highly different, the equipment, fields, and traveling styles are highly different. Carli Lloyd, leading the stand, with other women’s national players are using the bigger stages like the Olympic and the World Cup to voice the unfairness of the different pay.
