In the poem “Fog” by Carl Sandburg the theme is life moves faster than you expect. One example in the poem is very small and fast. the poem then ends on “and then moves on.” This looks like it’s showing life is short, and it then moves on. Another example showing the theme of the poem is life moves faster than you expect is it says fog comes on little cats feet. This is showing life is small and a quick just like little cat’s feet and it walking. A final example to support the theme stated above is it says “ It sits looking over city and harbor…” This proves that you can see very little things in your life across the world before you shut your eyes. As if you were the fog, and all it got to see was the city and harbor, then it went away.
