Humans only striving for something bigger and better and there no stop. Once a goal is accomplished, they move into the next goal. Once a person accomplished a goal, something happens and knocks the person back down to the esteem or safety level. It’s a repetitive vicious cycle. So other children don't have to go through this painful event. Even other people think the same in killing the rapist so they have a peace of mind that their child is safe. Carl Lee actually did a favor to the world in taking out two rapists. Another characteristic that Carl Lee shows his Unusual sense of humor. For instance, when Carl Lee was laughing hysterically when he shot the two rapists and the only sound that could be heard was the bullets and is the laughter of Carl Lee. At this moment Carl Lee is happy that those guys are dead in his arms. Carl Lee decides the two rapist destiny if they die or not. That is Carl Lee pick jail for protecting his family knowing that those guys will not hurt his little girl anymore. Another character that reaches self-actualization is Jake. He is the lawyer of Carl Lee. He reached self-actualization when every camera focus on him and his case. That is his pick goal. One good example of literature to find ones independent is Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. This is a true story of two men one in his thirties named Mitch, and the other much older named Morrie. Mitch was a student of Morrie’s in the late 1970’s. This story is about a relationship between teacher and student during the time of near death and the teacher last lessons. Morrie has many characteristics that lead to self-actualization. One example is capable of deep appreciation of basic life-experience. He does not think about things matter anymore but he gives the understanding that funding a relation between another person with love, affection, and compassion is the important thing in this life. When Morrie says, “I’ve got so many people who have been involved with me, in close intimate ways. And love is how you stay alive, even after you are gone”(Albom, 133). In other words, Morrie’s adopted a culture that is the intimate people involved in Morrie’s life. Love going on after you die conjures the idea that the memories and feelings you leave behind with others will influence the culture you built and the culture at large. Like Morrie, I want the friends I leave behind share in the happiness I have found and the joy I helped create. Morrie had are a state of being and self-awareness.
