According to Jung’s typology assessment, I am an ENFJ: I will evaluate the description after I review Dr. Keirsey’s Temperament Theory.
NF Idealists There are four basic temperament groups which describe human behavior and I fall into the category of NF Idealists. An Idealists is described as having a primary objective of “Identity Seeking, a Helper and/or Teacher.” The combination of Jung’s personality types iNtuitive and Feeling is how Keirsey came up with NF. Idealists are a rare breed, they there are only 15 to 20 percent of the population. No matter how uncomfortable self-reflection can sometimes be, I must do the work continually in order to have quality and substantial personal growth and development. Since reaching the age of 39, I have been on this mission of understanding myself better and I was amazed as I read the Portrait of the Idealists by Keirsey at how accurate the description was relating to me.

This is key for me as I hope to start a new job soon. As an ENFJ, I am upbeat and affirming. While at work I present a pleasant and acceptable image acting out my natural caring and concern for others (Kroeger, O., Thuesen, J. M., & Rutledge, H., 2002). Being the background, helpings others succeed is one of the things I do best. I have been thought of as popular, a role model and asked to be a mentor.
