You can take Zed-Rs or ZR-vans, the island's route taxis. These vans travel to the most point on island. These small buses are often crowded since the drivers never turned down any passengers even though the bus is cramped with many passengers already. Zr-vans are not for the faint of heart because these vans run very fast and abruptly stop to pick up passenger. However, Zr-vans take the most scenic routes. These vans generally departs from either Bridgetown or Speightstown and the rate is BDS$1.50. The taxis on the island do not have meters but run on fares which are regulated by the government.
If you prefer a more comfortable ride, some hotels provide visitors with shuttles that travel to different scenic places of the island. You can also rent a car for a more private travel. There are no multinational car rentals companies in the island but there are several locally-owned and operated vehicle rental agencies. You can rent almost anything from a mini-moke to a limousine. These vehicles can be rented by the hour, by the day and by week. There is also helicopter shuttle service that flies around to a range of tourist attractions of the island on the West Coast tourist
