After completing the Career Plan on the University Of Phoenix Career website my results were as follows. The career profiled deemed me as enterprising, realistic and social. The website defines enterprising as frequently involving starting up and carrying out projects. These occupations can involve leading people and making many decisions. Sometimes they require risk taking and often deal with business. The website defines realistic as occupations frequently involving work activities that include practical, hands-on problems and solutions. If an individual can improve themselves by making a weakness a strength then they can become better equipped to evaluate an argument and a situation. I believe that by knowing my work culture or environment that I prefer to work in it will help me identify if a potential employer is a good fit for me. Furthermore it will help me to identify the appropriate channels for communication because, I will be better aware of the atmospheres in my workplace. Knowing the channels of communication in the workplace is always important so that you know the ways you can communicate to your co-workers and management alike. I believe that this activity was spot on and accurate because these are things that I want in my career. The steps that I will take to improve the quality of my messages is I will try my best to be well rounded as an individual and have the ability to communicate on every level. I believe I can achieve this through studying communication practices, researching my possible receivers and by being teachable so that I can learn from others. Communication is the key to success on any platform, so learning how to communicate better will make your career more successful. The final my career plan building activity called Reasoning Aptitude. It was comprised of a thirty question test which gave me twenty minutes to answer the questions. I’m not sure if I got the questioned correct or not because the results didn’t say so, however I was rated at a medium. A
