Also they teach their students such subjects as; Math, Reading, and Social Studies. One day you might need to stay after school to grade papers the next you might have to make up worksheets. So it all differs in the hours. Pretty much you work all the time, but you only get paid for the time you are at school teaching your students. Teachers don’t work in summer, just like students they get summer break off. Also all the other breaks including; Spring break, Winter break, Mid-winter break, etc, teachers also get off. The weekends most of the time teachers grade papers and put them in the gradebook, but other than that the teachers have weekends off also. When summer break occurs teachers don’t get paid so some choose to get a summer job while others save their money wisely for the summer months. On the other hand, the median salary for a elementary school teacher ranges from fifty five thousand dollars to fifty seven thousand. Although for your first year salary on average is about thirty six thousand per year until you have worked yourself up in the occupation field.
In order to be an elementary school teacher involves at least a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Also some soon to be teachers take child psychology. In college soon to be teachers learn how to present information, prepare lessons, and they teach you teaching skills. All public teachers need to be licensed or certified, in order to perform your job at schools. In order to receive certification you need experience in the field by becoming a student

A principal manages all school operations including school activities. Another related occupation is a childcare worker, a childcare worker is someone who looks after another set of parents child/children when they are unavailable to take care of them. So they help the kids with their homework, basic needs, or help young children with preparing for kindergarten. On the other hand another related job is a instructional coordinator. An instructional coordinator’s job is basically someone who oversees the school’s curriculum, and they also have a look at teaching standards. Another related occupation is a social worker, a social worker helps students with their everyday problems, and they can help and or treat emotional issues within that person. The most relatable occupation is a student teacher, which every teacher will have to go through the student teaching process. A student teacher helps out the certified teacher with passing out assignments, and helping with the instructions of the lesson. I choose as my career to be an elementary school teacher because I love children and being organized. So I believe that this job will mentally make me happy and not say “Ugh I have to go to work”, I want to enjoy what I do for a living and elementary school teaching will definitely make me happy!
