One of the biggest positives in nursing is that nurses make a difference in people’s lives, there will be days when a nurse will save someone’s life. Nurses are also able to have a bonding experience with their patient’s and are able to build a relationship with some of them. Another positive aspect of nursing would be the excitement of the job, everyday a nurse would be faced with something different, no day would be the same. (Cresswell). Although there are many positives to nursing there are also some negatives. Nurses spend most of their days busy and on their feet, which can be physically hard on their body. Being a nurse causes them to have to take care of patients who are sick and have infections and diseases, working with these people can expose nurses to many types of illnesses and can cause them to be at risk of getting them themselves. Overall one of the biggest negatives would be how emotionally demanding the job can be. A lot of nurses can get emotionally burnt out from having to deal with all of the stress of patients dying or becoming very sick and in severe pain.
