Were there any areas of concern or anxiety about having your career interests evaluated? I was I little bit intrigued about the kind of choices and questions the test offered, but I was not nervous because I knew it was something for me to explore, even to enjoy, not to determine if I was smart or not. I am very skeptical about this sort of test, so I didn’t want to alter my responses due to my bias. I was determined to choose as honest as possible.…
During POC #1, I learned through the Focus 2 Career Assessment that I am almost ready to become a nurse. In order for me to become a nurse, I need to become a more social person, either that or fake it! By taking the Focus 2 Carer Assessment, I easily learned a valuable lesson about becoming a nurse, and how I should take my personality into consideration while becoming a nurse. Because I am determined to become a nurse, I am willing to become a more social person; but if I were not willing to become more social, Focus 2 claimed that I would excel quite well in many different types of jobs.…
Results from the Reading-Free Vocational Interest Inventory (R-FVII:2) will be included in the vocational assessment summary. 2) Instructors noted that Ms. March does relate well to coworkers and two of the instructors. Instructors verbalized that Ms. March still, at times, have difficulty displaying appropriate social skills such as being polite and showing good communication skills. One instructor continues to verbalize that, sometimes, Ms. March is argumentative with her when asked to complete assigned tasks.…
The CORPS Interest Inventory helped me define my career pathway based on my personal interests. It was a survey based questionnaire that asked many personality as well as interest questions. The results came out as, physical science with a 93% match and a science based career with medical involvement at 75%. All other careers matches at less than 40%. It was clear what I was interested in, which is science.…
After completing the Career Finder assignment, one of the occupations that I was given that stood out to me was an Adapted Physical Education Specialist which requires a considerable amount of preparation. The average pay per year while obtaining this job is approximately $51,980 however, there are several responsibilities that come along with the occupation, such as assisting students that have disabilities with learning. To become a Adapted Physical Education Specialist, you have to be a distinguished listener as well an influential instructor. To obtain this job you have to actively pay attention to what is occurring around you at all times. There is an endless number of pros that will come along with this job, such as getting to make an…
When I think of the word career, I don’t just think of a professional option or activity, the first thing that comes to my mind is a lifestyle you enjoy based on your vocation. Therefore, my personality is going to impact my choice of a career. In addition, I have to think about my strengths and challenges I might experience in the career I am going to consider. So the four assessments I took were a helpful complement to the other tests I took before, along with some other tools in My Plan that were beneficial as well.…
In one short year my classmates and I are expected to know what we want to do for the rest of our lives. The decision we make will affect us as a whole and will require deep self-reflection and research. The career cluster inventory suggested multiple answers for us to research and learn about. The results are based on the answers we provided concerning my interests and daily repertoire. My results include Finance, Arts and Communication, and Law and Public and Safety.…
I hold great value in being a good shipmate and positive role model to those who work for me, so naturally my marks were high and…
In order to figure out a list of occupations that strongly interested me, I did a few different things. I wanted to make sure that the occupation would most likely fit my personality and lifestyle rather than just picking random careers. I feel as if it is extremely important to take your time with a topic like this. Your career shapes who you are as a person and you wouldn’t want to be stuck in the wrong career and be unhappy. To be honest, finding a list of careers that strongly interested me was a quite difficult process.…
Growing up I never had a clear idea of what I wanted to do as a profession. No inclination of something that amazed me or pushed me toward it. I eventually chose what I thought would be a good stable career simply because it would be a financially good choice but it never seemed like something I could stick with or love. I discounted anything from the medical field because everyone was going there and I didn't want to be a lost number of people rushing to the same career, I wanted to be a little different.…
I do agree with these results for my top interests. Other interest that I had results for were artistic work activities, self expression in my work, and having set procedures and routines. I don’t agree with these because I would’ve listed artistic work activities as my top interests. The interests I have resulted least for are dealing with agriculture, working with data and detail, and having precise standards. I completely agree with these results, and I do not possess these interests.…

Not to my surprise I scored low in the first to answers of the self-assessment. Having a calling to a particular kind of work and good understanding of my calling as it applies to my career. At this point in my life due to personal changing affecting my career, I knew, I didn’t know where I was standing. Neither whether the path I’m on it is the correct one or as the assessment says the one I’m calling for it. In the other hand even with the exhaustion I’m on it right now, I do want to have a reason in life.…
I scored relatively low in this category in comparison to the others. There were two questions that I scored low on. Each of those were associated with not letting daily activities get in the way of what is truly important. My interpretation was when I let work get in the way of what is truly important to me which is my family. My family does come first to me, however on the same note I must make a living for them and do so in a way that would provide opportunities that they would not otherwise have.…
Creating software that would help people in some way would be interesting. From the list of careers, I choose the real estate agent. I picked the real estate agent because my mother has a friend that is a real estate agent and she seems to enjoy her career. She is always talking about the houses that she is trying to sell and it sounds interesting. And I think that I would like to help people buy or sell their house.…
