Career In Forensic Psychology

If I were to choose Psychology as my major as well as what type of field that I would want to have involved with it I would choose a major in Forensic Psychology and have a career as a Criminal Profiler because essentially, in the Criminal Profiler’s job they do not only fall in just one field they are involved in both the areas of Psychology and Law Enforcement. This type of professional diversity is the main reason why I would choose both areas for my major and as my profession as well as my long-time desire of wanting to work in the Criminal Justice field, but also wanting to be able to work in the science and investigative area. I continued to find myself highly intrigued by Forensic Psychology as a study due to my passion to understand the way that criminals think especially the understanding of serial killers and how their thought process works and where does their behavior derive from which may create them to commit their crimes.

As I continued to discover and learn more of what a career in Criminal Profiling involved and I felt that this would be the field for me being that it involved all aspects of everything I wanted to do professionally and it is more in depth because it does not just involve the area of Psychology by studying the behavior of the criminals, but also adding the
