Of the people that said this, many of them are elders or practicing christians. The American people mostly weigh their personal identity on three things: Family, God, and Country. Depending on the person, the order in which these three are put can differ, but these three are the most common factors in Americans for personal identity. Both men and women can look for the same career, but yet when they are in that field, they can have two totally different ambitions. For example, men are more likely to a job for the money for providing for their families, whereas a women is more likely to choose a job that she will enjoy doing. It is usually like this because it is seen in American society that men are supposed to be the ones that make the money to provide and the women will then perform the tasks in order to provide for the family. In recent years, women have become more equal to men in terms of making equivalent or more money than their male spouses.
