Dubiski is very well known for this, they offer leadership training, teach students effective time management skills and give students the opportunity to meet and make contacts in the real world. Dubiski also allows students to leave with certifications and professional level skills from the certain job fields that students want to work in. Dubiski has focused mainly on its academics and career options it does have an advantage over other schools, but that isn’t to say that those same high schools don’t offer anything to their students. High schools focus on college preparation and job skills during a student’s junior and senior year. They hold mock interviews, teach students how making a resume and help students prepare for college. They hold personal finance classes and home economics to train students on how to handle living by themselves as well as the responsibilities that they’re going to have to do when they get out of high schools. A commonality is that the teachers also give tips and advice about the adult life that only they would know since they’ve been in the exact situations as students have.
In the end, though Dubiski and other high schools have a few differences, Dubiski is pretty much like any other school. It has its advantages like in academics and disadvantages like in life skills

Walking through the halls of high school I notice the behavior of some of the students. People mature differently, some may need more time while others will not. Few have the capability of graduating and leaving high school early and beginning life in what Leon Botstein, the president of Bard College, calls "the real world" (154). A high school student will graduate at age 18 after going through elementary, middle, and high school for four years, this system gives students a chance to attain knowledge in several subjects, find their interests, and to mature.…
