In middle school students are pressured to decide about future career goals. By the time I reached high school, my classmates and I were expected to know what career paths we were headed towards; along with most of my other fellow students I did not. In one of my honors class’, I had to write a paper about a future career I might see myself in. I had no idea where I was headed, or what direction to go in, so I asked my mother. Her response was, “ What do you love most?” Only being a freshman I still had no plans set in stone. It was about two weeks before the paper was due, that I realized which direction my life was going to go, and it was all thanks to my dog and two cats. I knew that my future was to work with animals and nature. With that
