2.) I had several other possibilities when I made this decision; I could have also chosen to graduate with a degree in Art/Animation, or I could have gone straight into the workforce after graduating highschool.

I have always had a deep fondness for nature, and having a degree in Environmental Science would allow me to find a job working directly with the environment. I would have the skills needed to help protect and conserve our environment, and find new methods that would benefit both humans and the Earth. By studying at Humboldt State, I would be in an area with many people who have similar goals to mine, and I would be exposed to new ideas and experiences. However, my other alternative is more difficult to judge. Considering my fondness for both art and nature, I would just as readily go into a career in the field of Art as I would Environmental Science. However, there is a high need for Environmental Scientists in the American job market, as stated in an online article, "Employment is projected to grow 15% from 2012 to 2022, which is faster than the average for all occupations.(3)" I would most likely have a better chance of being hired at a well-paying facility in an Environmental Science field than I would in Art. Thus, out of all my choices, graduating from Humboldt State University with a degree in Environmental Science would be my best
