At first, I was hesitant to approach their booth because they had a line of people that were waiting to talk to the recruiters. However, I decided to take the chance anyway and join the line. They are currently expanding into 3 new cities and are increasing their number of employees by 500 over the next 2 years. In addition to that, they do international business, which would give me the opportunity to live and work in foreign countries after I …show more content…

This report requested by Michele Bartosek pertains to the Alpha Kappa Psi Career Fair, hosted at Central Michigan University (CMU). While attending my first CMU career fair, I was not actively seeking an internship, but rather gaining experience and building my network. When I walked into Finch Fieldhouse, I did not expect there to be 143 tables worth of future employers, all squeezed into one gym. Although the Alpha Kappa Psi career fair was extremely overwhelming and stressful, it was beneficial to go as a freshman to understand what I can improve on at the next career fair. I understand the importance of many potential employers attending this event at this venue to maximize the opportunity for the students, however having so many people…

For the informational interview I contacted a family friend Rebecca Gray Detling who is an executive sales manager with ICH Global LLC. I first just started off asking Rebecca on what she majored in college, how it prepared her for her job, what courses were the most valuable, and what class she wished she would have taken while in school. While in college Rebecca majored in physical therapy and had a minor in finance because she knew she wanted a future in the business field while helping out people in the medical field. Once out of college though she said that the most valuable class she took was a little of every class because with a career in the medical field, sales, and finance not one class is better than the other but a little of each class was extremely valuable.…

The healthcare industry is made up of everyone form the chief executives to the custodians. In this day and age, the healthcare industry is highly integrated with technology not only with the medical equipment, but also with patient medical records, prescriptions, and drug dispensing.
