Overview The Alpha Kappa Psi Career Day was something that I had never been to before. My overall experience was positive, but it was also a little stressful and overwhelming. Walking into the building, the workers were very inviting and were helpful to point me into the direction I needed to go. As I entered the main room with all the companies, I became quickly overwhelmed. The first thing I did entering the main room was signing in, and grabbing a map that showed what table different companies were at. It took a lot of self-motivation for me to approach someone to talk to them, but once I introduced myself as a sophomore, I could tell that they immediately began to lose interest in me. I asked them my first question if the offered half summer internships and they replied that they do not normally offer that.
