Career Exploration Experience: The Job Of A Flight Attender

Register to read the introduction… Because of my artistic preference I like to think and perceive, but I also like to create and work outside the rules and not be forced to conform. As a Flight Attendant I would be subject to codes and policies, I would have to travel where I was told and wear a uniform. I am not sure if this is the best option for the creative side of my personality. As a Developmental Therapist I would be able to create programs and implement them and while there would be regulations, I would be in a greater position of authority, one where I would be making rules and decisions. Being a Flight Attendant would leave little room for me to work with my ideas; I wouldn’t get the chance to create. Being realistic means that I am practical and like to work with my hands, I think both careers are conducive to hands on work, but neither to physical labor a profession that seems to mainly satisfy realists. I genuinely like making things, but I don’t think that I could just be a physical laborer, I want to use my mind as well but I don’t know how easy that would be with the two careers in question. Realist types also like to do things as opposed to just talking about them, this is very like me I would much rather actively fix a problem then discuss it and I think both careers require …show more content…
The majority of least chosen careers are ones that involve close interaction with people in the service industry as well as lots of rules and regulations, Flight Attendants encounter these situations all the time. As an INTJ I like to have a vision and make it a reality, I like to work implementing plans that help improve something whether it is a thing, person or place. I would want to work in a field that involves searching and finding answers. According to my type I would be bored by being a Flight Attendant. I don’t have a lot of the people skills necessary, I wouldn’t get the chance to use my mind to create or develop any of my ideas. As a Flight Attendant I would be surrounded by stimulating events and places but I wouldn’t actively be able to participate or invest myself in
