Career Essay On Joining The Navy

The Military is a career for anyone. It consist of the Army, Air force, Coastguard, and the Marines. The Navy offers different jobs. Some of the jobs that the navy offers is air traffic control mans, construction mechanic, or even a gunner’s mate. A career in the Navy requires specific skills and training, offers common compensation and benefits, and has an expected career path and opportunity for advancement. In order to join the Navy, you must first have specific skills and training (navy.army.com). Before you can join the Navy you must obtain a high school diploma to enlist and at least make a fifty on your ASVAP test (navy.army.com). Also to join the navy you must also be a U.S citizen or a legal resident alien with documents to validate that you are eligible. (navy.army.com).The navy opens and opportunity for anyone to join at age seventeen with a parent’s permission or during the ages of eighteen and up without parents’ permission (navy.army.com).
