Not many people in the United States qualify or get the opportunity to be what they hope to choose as their job for the rest or most of their life. If I am lucky, I might be able to encounter that opportunity to succeed at what I choose to be my future. For my career path, I have chosen to be a surgeon, a specialized physician. Surgeons can benefit people from many different places around the world. They can research and cure many diseases and sometimes even provide medical care to those in poverty or fatal disease.
For my career as a surgeon, I must have a license and that takes a lot of work, training, and education. Although the level of experience depends on the state I decide to work in, I would have to take a certain examination, as I have an option on which degree I choose to take. The average annual wage for a surgeon is about $200, 000-$300, 000. However, I also have to consider the fact that this is the average salary, not the starting salary. When I first start my job I will make a very small amount of money. There will also be a lot of job growth in this industry, as there is a lot of expansion in this factor of careers. The demand for physicians is growing rapidly and this includes surgeons because surgeons are physicians that are specialized. For this very reason, medical schools are increasing their enrollments.
