Another con I would mention about being a sport agent is that the high supply of the sport agents. According to the ESPN, there are 714 agents certified by the NFL Players Association and 300 of them, in other words 42 percent has no clients. Each year 140 new agents added up to this crowd with a hope to find a client among 1800 NFL players, however half of these players are represented by 13% of the agents. Even these statistics show us how competitive the environment is and being best at it is almost impossible because of all these reasons I have no interest in being an agent anymore. I also have to take into consideration the differences between the sport management industry in the United States and Turkey since some of the career opportunities I would prefer to pursue do not exist back home.
