First, I need to go through 4 years of undergraduate school to receive a bachelor's degree. Then, I do 4 more years of medical school. I feel that if I worked really hard to get into that school, it would be a huge honor. I want to start off at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro because they offer the programs that I am considering. My surgeon, Dr. Shepherd, went to UNCG and she is phenomenal. Dr. Shepherd is the person who inspired me to want to be a surgeon and consider going to UNCG. For UNCG, I think I will major in science and biology. Then, I’ll move on to medical school. College is a very important part of your life. I discussed it with my parents and they really want me to go to college. Everyone in my family has been to college and so my parents want me to continue that streak. Growing up, my parents would ground me or take away my possessions if I didn't get good enough grades. I've always been pushed to make all A's, but some B's were okay too. My parents have also set up an account to start saving money for college. Going to a really good college is one of my main dreams and I hope to accomplish good things and make my family proud.
