Achieve Texas does this through breaking career fields into clusters, or bunches of related careers. By doing this, it allows students to explore more possible options, to find one that best suits their personality and strengths.
An example of the career clusters is Education & Training (edutrain). If a student is interested in teaching, there is an entire pamphlet dedicated to the expectations, job market, job security, expected salary, and details about how

When our founding fathers created the American Constitution, it was very clear that they wanted the judicial system to be free from political influence. Texas manages to simultaneously rank among the best and worst in the nation when it comes to education, but only because it excels in some fields and fails in others. Education is a window to future careers; children and young adults should have access to educational services and/or financial aid no matter what income threshold their families come from. According to the tape "House Support for Senate Budget Unlikely" funding for schools were the center of contention between the two houses because the House wants to…

Teaching is one of the few careers that directly affect the future of our nation, and though this may be considered a cliché, the truth of the matter is that you may have a larger impact on children’s lives than some of their parents.
