The Government and Public Administration Career Cluster is divided into seven categories or pathways. Governance, National Security, Foreign Service, Planning, Revenue and Taxation, Regulation, and Public Management and Administration are the seven pathways in this Career Cluster. There are many job opportunities in every career area, but this Career Cluster focuses on the careers that are exclusive to government and are not contained in another Career Cluster. During the next decade, state and local government employment is expected to increase by 12 percent. The fuel of the growth of these services is the increasing population nationwide.
