Another key stage of my professional action plan is to achieve self-management by following a well-defined schedule/timetable. One of my greatest strengths is that I can manage time effectively but this has been derailed as most of the times I am overrun by activities and schedules that force me to compromise and strain my resources. The action plan’s schedule marker will enable me to be more efficient in managing my time, as I will always be updated on upcoming events and this will enhance my productivity and efficiency. In Chapter 3, Anderson and Bolt (2014) recognize that time and stress management coupled with efficient organization skills are bound to make an individual more efficient and professional. Through efficient time management, stress is avoided, and whenever it is experienced, it’s tackling and demolition will be easy. According to Pundit Singh, meeting deadlines is one of the most important goals of a business. I will continuously continue to seek development, and this is supported in the sixteenth chapter of the book where the authors suggest that training, development, and continual development are important for any professional. For example, Mr. Singh’s company supports educational ventures of its employees and such opportunities would be welcome to me as they are a great opportunity to improve myself. A speaker at one of the speaking events said that to become a professional, continuous learning is a necessity and this can start by reading books to attending classes.
