Hi! Your doctor has prescribed Cardura 1 mg. The generic name is doxazosin. Have you taken either medication before? Cardura is used for high blood pressure. This medication is going to relax your veins and arteries so your blood can pass through easier. You will start by taking one tablet every day. Store the pills at room temperature and not in the bathroom. I would put your pills on a bedside table or in the kitchen. Check in with your doctor to make sure the medication is lowering your blood pressure.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the normal time you take the medication, only take 1 tablet. Do not double up. If you miss or stop taking Cardura for a few days, please call your doctor before you start
