Cardiovascular exercise, strength building and flexibility are three key components to fitness.
Cardiovascular, or aerobic, exercise involves continuous rhythm activities that work major muscle groups. This type of exercise should involves arms and/or legs and can be done for extended periods. It is designed to strengthen the heart and respiratory system, and is known for its contribution with weight control. Aerobic exercise is also considered to be the best type of exercise for lowering blood pressure, reducing cholesterol and in its stress relieving qualities. Walking, cycling and swimming are examples of common aerobic exercises but those whose level of exertion measurably raise the heart rate have the most benefit to the cardiovascular
