Science was never just a subject for me, it was something, which fascinated me, taught me and provided me with the explanation of what was around me all at the same time. Compared to all other subjects I studied, it was the only one in which truly interested me, one which I did not mind waking up in the morning for or to study for. It was only until my grandfather passed away from a heart disease, when I truthfully identified what part of science I would want to study. And that is Cardiology, as it is something I generally have an interest in, for me its a subject which means far more than an academic subject for a set number of hours a week. It means learning and providing the expertise I need to continue to the next stage in life- sharing the knowledge learnt with others via work or use the knowledge to continue …show more content…
Making me realise the intricate mechanisms that are involved in which are thought to be simple parts of life, amazing me with how detailed and complex even a microscopic thing can be, inspiring me to learn more as much as I could. And while undertaking my BTEC course, I found that both physiology and microbiology were my strong points and this was because the subjected are so closely related and were both subjects in whom I could study in great depth in relation to the human body. They were fairly easy to follow and understand if you were focused and tried to learn. Since noticing my strengths and weaknesses, I was seeking a passion that would be complicated enough to hold my interest and at the same time be perspective, and to which Cardiology came to mind. It is a great mixture of so many parts of science but also incredibly specific in achieving cardiac studies, and given that I have a large family history of heart problems, it will be remarkable to finally learn and understand the
