Although cutting out carbs from his diet is helping John lose weight it doesn't always mean it is the right choice of weight loss. Carbohydrates can be helpful for the body and helping with nutrients. Carbs can help with metabolism speed up by using some sugars for guidance. The negative impact of this can cause the immune system to be slower. The effects can help lose weight but it is also hurting the rest of his body. John needs to slowly introduce carbs back into his body to be healthier.

A low-carb diet is decreasing carbs lowers insulin levels and that causes the body to burn stored fat for energy and ultimately leads to weight loss. Carbohydrate metabolism refers to the process your body goes through to break down carbohydrates into energy. Eating too much carbohydrates can cause an increase in your body fat storage.
