In 2000, rollover crashes killed 9,873 occupants of passenger cars and light trucks, almost one-third of the total deaths of occupants of these types of vehicles. A rollover crash is far more likely to result in fatalities than are non-rollover crashes. In 2000, only 3 percent of all passenger vehicles involved in crashes were rollovers, but rollovers accounted for 20 percent of passengervehicles involved in fatal crashes. Controlling for vehicle type shows that within the passenger vehicle category, light trucks are more likely than passenger cars to be involved in rollover crashes and when rollovers occur, the proportions of fatal and injury only type crashes that involve rollovers are also higher among light trucks than passenger cars.…
INVESTIGATION: On 11-19-2016 at approximately 2215 hours, I was notified by Cpl. Graves # 4044, of a traffic crash that occurred on Sheldon Road at the intersection of Redwood Boulevard. I responded to the crash scene and upon arrival at approximately 2323 hours, I was assigned to forensically map the scene. The intersection of Redwood Boulevard and the southbound lanes of Sheldon Road had been closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic with crime scene tape and marked patrol vehicles. I then met with Cpl.…
Crash and Burn is about forty pages away from being perfect. Michael Hassan has written what is quite honestly the best book I have ever read. Never has a book made me question my own morality, character, and social skills the way Crash and Burn did. The drama had me staying up late at night, fascinated by the story unraveling before my eyes. As David Burnett and Steven Crashinsky grow up alongside each other, their lives dramatically change, and it seems that as Steven’s life gets better and better,…
Jacob Good take on both the crash scenario as well as the drugs, in law enforcement we are seeing more and more methamphetamine as well as marijuana being used and transported due to its cost and different forms of use. As time goes along our schools will see a real increase in its popularity due to low cost and the ability to obtain with little to no problem. If more efforts are not made to interdict this particular scourge on society it will begin to take over our youths. The crash scenario is something also that will deal with on a day-to-day basis in the law enforcement field. Many times police officers write these types of events off as accidents only and many other crimes can be missed and or covered up through a simple car crash.…
My introduction paragraph was not up to the senior level writing. My writing simply didn’t make a clear path that allowed me to carry my ideas throughout the whole paper. The flow of each sentence was choppy and that made it difficult for anyone reading this paper get into the essay; therefore, I need to start including transitional words, phrase, or sentence so the reader and I can easily read my essay faster and with ease. Another thing that I would change is the thesis that I made.…
I’ve never been good at formal papers, and I am afraid to give this essay to my teacher to proofread for the fear that this whole paper will be trashed to go the regular and basic route of talking about my life story. Perhaps speaking about my life could work, but no one likes a complainer. Thank you for this opportunity, and I hope you will consider me for this excellent…

Over the last four essays, my ability to write has improved exponentially from the beginning of the year. Through the four essays I have learned valuable skills that will be the support for future essays. On the two beginning essays my ability to use vocabulary and other valuable skills was improving. By being supplied by information from the instructor, and fellow classmates I was able to spot my weaknesses in my writing and improve where improvement was needed. As the semester progress each essay improved upon the last as self reflection and reflection from others was used wisely.…

An Accident Waiting to Happen In life, an innocent bystander, parent, or friend could receive news that would change their life forever. A death of a loved one is something that can drop someone to their knees in agony. Karl Shapiro’s “Auto Wreck” faces the hard truth that is a car accident. To summarize, “Auto Wreck” is a gut-wrenching retelling of a brutal accident in which two cars collide in a fatal accident. The poem concludes on a more philosophical note explaining the certainty that is faced in true death and how unseen and sudden a car accident can be on a family.…
An outrageous number of teens are killed each year in car accidents. Children in our communities are dying left and right from driving accidents because we 're not taking the correct course of action to help them. The amount of effort it takes to protect your young loved one from car accidents is not a huge undertaking and is worthwhile. Parents have to take most of this blame because they 're the ones that should be teaching their teens how to drive responsibly and being a good example on the road. Despite major efforts, teen deaths from car accidents remain to be a problem in today 's society.…
The film, Crash, written and directed by Paul Haggis, tells the story of different people and the issues that they face regarding their race. The films main aspect was to look at racial profiling, as well as, the stereotypes that occur with every race. Throughout the movie there remains the constant issue of being able to trust people of different races and how they do not seem to be able to accomplish it. Throughout the movie, the audience constantly sees issues that these people face in their everyday lives. Although I have no experience with racial injustice, I find Crash to have successfully shown racism in the way that people prove to be excessive and insensitive to the subject matter.…
By far the most captivating scene in the film ‘Crash’ was when Daniel’s daughter gets mistakenly “shot” by Farhad and this ‘Invisible Cloak’ scene is important, shows suspense and should be kept. The scene starts of with a POV shot viewed through a rearview mirror. Where suddenly a white van appears. Farhad, the Iranian shopkeeper is inside, waiting to ambush Daniel.…
