Villains are known to be the bad guys of cartoons, movies, and tv shows. Villains such as Cruella de Vil, the Big Bad Wolf, the Joker, and a large number of others, are the ones that antagonize a story. Captain Hook antagonizes Peter Pan, who is his arch enemy. In Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent is known as “the mistress of evil”, she earns this name when she curses the infant Aurora. A third villain is Scar from the Lion King, who kills his own brother out of jealousy. Villains are known for their evil proceedings, however not every villain starts out evil. Captain Hook is the main villain in the movie Peter Pan, he will do whatever it takes to kill Peter Pan and take over Neverland. Hook gets his name due to the fact that he is missing his left hand. Peter Pan cut off his hand during one of their many battles; which Pan ends up victorious every single time. Captain Hook aims to be the ruler of all Neverland, not only this, but he wants to see Peter Pan dead. Captain Hook states, “I’ll get you Peter Pan if it’s the last thing I do!” (Dir. Maleficent puts a curse on the poor infant Princess Aurora, for she wants to show the whole kingdom that she is an all powerful evil sorceress. Maleficent curses baby Aurora out of anger; she curses her to prick her finger on an enchanted spinning wheel and die. She is an evil villain that aspires to be known as the “mistress of all evil.” Maleficent could transform into a dragon, with this she could battle the Prince and attempt to rid of him. “Now shall you deal with me, o prince, and all the powers of hell!!!” Maleficent says this to the prince right before the last battle she will ever live to see (Dir.
