Captain Fantastic
In this essay I will talk about the movie “Captain Fantastic”. A movie that has touched my heart in many ways. I will describe my fieldtrip feels, my observations and feelings from the first shot. I will go into seeking what character takes the role of protagonist and antagonist and the cinematography. I will also merge the movie with the book “Magic and loss” and identify the values and the way the main characters have similar ideas.
The Movie theaters are great, high resolution TV with comfortable seats in a dark cubicle, with an amazing sound system you get a quality glance at the film. The kids began to affect the further actions: going to their mother’s funeral, stopping their dad from ruining the burying ceremony, to finding that lost connection and reuniting with their father to complete their mission “Rescue Mom”. Heffernan has observed that the values that where decades ago, are no longer of value. It has drifted, when once smelling the aging of the book, pages slipping through the tips of your fingers was majestic, now is electronically transformed into a soulless machine. The father and Heffernan do have similar approaches to the innovative world, in one way or the other it will be beneficial to adapt and learn at this era. To survive and fit into to the status quo, they have modified their knowledge and created space for new generation. Say Heffernan learning the computer, it is now a must for any job to know how to use the it. Back in the day people had qualification, just like we do now. Fathers values where to be the humans that we were born as, to live and work relying on yourself, seeking your own food. Living in a world with no capitalism and believing in real life happening, not celebrating Christmas but Noam Chomsky day. Although it is are values, but it’s no longer the worlds. My point is that you have to be sufficient with today’s technology, news, lifestyle, and knowing the old school lifestyle will be an extra perk and sophistication.
