In comparison the CEO of BnL video calls and announces that "No one can return to earth, it will just be easier to stay in space". However the captain makes a decision by himself this time and says "Things have changed, we have to go back", "out there is our home, Home auto and it's in trouble". "I can't just sit here and do nothing, that’s all I've ever done anyone in this blasted ship has ever done". Furthermore when the captain goes over to read a book to find which button is needed turned on to turn the steering wheel off. This is seen by a close up shot on a top angle of the book in the last half of the film. The close up was a good way to show the importance of how the captain had finally turned and read a book to figure something out for himself. In contrast to how the Captain was at the start of the movie always commanding orders so the steering wheel would do everything for him. Specifically in the last scene when the Axium has landed on planet earth and all the babies are listening to the captain while he is explaining the steps on planting and sustaining the plant. To show this scene the directors used a long shot on a low angle which then progressed into a birds eye view. Using these film techniques allowed the audience to get a full idea of the setting and how it had turned into a utopia. Alternatively when the captain says "I don’t want to survive, I
