At the beginning of class, it seems very scary and intimidating. “A 20-page paper is due on a certain topic and then I have to present it?” That was the question I asked myself. I am not very good with talking in front of my peers and much less writing a 20-page paper when I have not been use to writing that much since high school. After I overcame the fear and stress of that big of an assignment, my nerves were clamed after having the first phone conversation with Dr. Fox- Horton. After graduation, I am returning to get my master in teaching, so I feel as if my topic is very important to me and is something I can use in my professional life. If I am in a

The capstone integrates the knowledge and skills that I have developed in the business core coursework and over the duration of the term by creating an executive summary that highlights the performance of my company from the Capsim simulation. The executive summary is my opportunity to show my knowledge of the organization, products, and business functions—skills that professionals in this field must possess. I have also reflected on my journey through the business core and how I plan to position myself both professionally in my upcoming program of study. This personal and professional reflection specifically focuses on business communication skills, professional etiquette, and peer-to-peer and peer-to-leader collaboration, analyze the use…

On October 1, 2015 I attended the Major’s Fair at The Ferguson Center, and I contained very helpful information. I visited the Criminal Justice and Interior Designs major table. Even though I already picked Criminal Justice as my potential major before the Major’s Fair, I got some information that I did not know. I want to attend Law School, and with that being said that is why I picked Criminal Justice so I can know the justice system well. However, besides for my passion for the law I also have a passion for design, and let’s be honest they do not mix well together.…

Sandra, I could think of one area in which to me the 5Cs did not do a good enough job for improved patient outcomes and that would be in the area of patient identification because it relies on verbal affirmation of name (Institute for Safe Medical Practices, 2011). I work at the VA and for whatever reason I have and can have three John Richardsons in one night to care for of my six patients all clustered in the same area (some may be spelled slightly different)! Or all my patients or in for the same condition. I have had to stop many doctors from going into the wrong room to consult on a patient when they have just scribbled the name of the patient on a piece of paper. Sometimes I do not catch them in time and they walk out asking why certain…

    Capstone Proposal

The most challenging part for me in developing a capstone proposal would be making sure I can write well and be clear enough, for others to understand what I am trying to say. Another challenge is understanding what I want because if I don’t understand what I want or what I like to do, it will be hard to plan a capstone that will make me happy. I want to be able to describe my capstone experience as “like no other” and that I don’t have any regrets with my decisions that I made in order to achieve it. I also want to be able to say that I’ve learned and discovered a bit more about myself compared to the beginning. I want my capstone to impact me so much, that it makes me passionately motivated and inspired to continue my life time goals.…

CCOM is a socially driven medical school dedicated to educating its students on the value of patient-centered care, diversity, and willingness to improve the world. An integrative approach to healing is at the forefront of medicine, and it is incredible to see how CCOM educates its students about the whole-body from the start of medical school. Patient-centered care with a focus on osteopathic and holistic techniques should not be a privilege. Diversity should not stand in the way of everyone receiving equal treatment, but rather encourage doctors to learn about different cultures and societies.…

The skills that I will learn and develop in this course can help me in many of my remaining classes, such as Storytelling, Professional Writing, and Display Advertising and Email Marketing because these are the obvious courses that will require utilization of everything I will be learning during the English Composition 1 class from understanding the role the writing process plays in project development and in the entertainment industry to practicing academic integrity by citing research and external sources appropriately. However, it is my understanding that I will most likely be implementing the skills I learn here for every course because at Full Sail we are taught to write about and discuss subject matter with our peers throughout every…

Since the first day, time has been flying really fast. Starting a fresh new day, meeting the same teachers and same old friends, I still cannot imagine that I am now a senior! In my senior year, there will definitely be a lot of challenges and obstacles for me to conquer, but I believe that as long as I do everything step by step, I can beat down the difficulties in this senior year. When I was in junior year, I often heard last year’s seniors told me how hard is it to come up with a senior project topic, and they kept on reminding me to start thinking of my topic and finding my mentors. Luckily, I had research method class last year, so I knew how to do my APA style references and I had many presentations experiences last year.…
