Capstone is my last course for my Master degree; in this reflective paper, I will review my previously learned knowledge, and how to use the knowledge I learned in my future life. This MSPM Program Reflective Essay will be divided into several sections based on the questions. Each section will be addressed accordingly to my personal experience in the program as well as my insight of the Project Management area.
Career Advancement
After I get my master degree, I will go back to China and want to start my own business, I’d like to become a leader or project manager in the future, my goal is to have a real estate company in China, since it is difficult and need a lot of skill to achieve, so I think this is necessary to finish my project management

Lessons Learned from the Program
My major for undergraduate is financial and accounting, so we I choose project management for my master degree, I have no idea what is project management is, at first I feel this is a very virtual concept and content, when I finished learning, I have a better understanding for the whole program.
PMI (2013) states, a project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result. The temporary nature of projects indicates that a project has a definite beginning and end. The end is reached when the project’s objectives have been achieved or when the project is terminated because its objectives will not or cannot be met, or when the need for the project no longer exists” (p. 3) To ensure the project to be successful, we must control the schedule, we do not only need to complete the project within the specified time, but also having a good control of the budget, also integration management, how to control the quality, how to having a good communication with staff and manager, how to minimize the risks are crucial

My Concentration - Leadership
My concentration is leadership, the reason why I choose this concentration is project management require a lot of interpersonal and conceptual skills, one of the most important interpersonal skill is leadership, also as I mention before, when I graduated, I want to start my own business or be a manager, therefore, the knowledge of leadership that professors teach me will be very helpful when I start my business.
