Given that organizations are constantly seeking ways to create and support training environments where new hires (trainers) feel empowered, it’s critical to remove factors that decrease from ideal learning culture and environment. One way to reach this goal is through the capstone proposal of new curriculum or a change management plan in the current organizational procedures involving training methods. The professional product such as a new training curriculum guide is a synthesized accumulation of the theories, concepts, and methodologies that composed the core courses. It allows a demonstration mastery of specialization topics and their relation through an action research process to the broader topic of Education Leadership. In Ernest Stringer’s Action Research book he discusses an action research as both qualitative than quantitative in practice. Stringer (2014), states, “Action research, in its most effective forms, is phenomenological (focusing on people’s actual lived experience or reality), interpretive (focusing on their interpretation of acts and activities), and hermeneutic (focusing on how people make meaning of events in their lives).” (p.37). The Capstone Project is designed as a professional product that conducts a qualitative study engaging an organization on phenomenological, interpretive, and hermeneutic

The impact on the organization by overhauling our corporate training with a MOOC will be of minimal to medium disruption. Compared to other systems, corporate training systems are unique in that they are not essential to daily operations yet are extremely useful. This is especially so for Aman Resorts because the already used training system will not be removed or taken offline until all useful features are transferred to the MOOC format. For Aman Resorts, disruption to usual business operations will come during the final release, content generation, and familiarizing the new system. If planned correctly, the initial phases of the MOOC development should not impede other functions of the organization significantly.…

As a teacher, I now find it difficult to observe issues in my classroom or around the school without attempting to find a solution. Part of being an effective teacher is having the ability to reflect on current teaching practices and employ strategies with the intention of improving the teaching practice (Mertler, 2014, 13). Now that I have had experience researching ways to improve instruction for my students, I feel that it is imperative that I continue the action research process. My goal as a teacher is to provide the best education possible to the students I teach. If there is an issue within my classroom or instruction, it is my job to fix it.…

In the introduction to our edition of Epicene, Gordon Campbell takes a view of the play as “untainted by overt morality: it contains few concessions to the usual values of comedy; there is no affirmation of the value of friendship or love, no banishing of villains, no triumph of happiness” (xvii). What I believe Campbell has failed to address is the existence of sub-genres of comedy. The style of comedy he describes was common in the Renaissance, but was not the only style at the time. The affirmation of friendship or love, and banishing villains is entirely too centered on assuming that Epicene is a Romantic Comedy. Epicene, I argue is a lot darker and leans more to the sub-genre of Satirical Comedy.…

Background to training needs in an organisational context There are many different definitions of a training need. According to Garavan et al (2003) who defines a training need as follows: " We define a training need as a need for human performance improvement arising from a deficit or an opportunity that can be met by an appropriate training intervention" Its is very important for organisations to identify gaps in performance, or gaps in future performance and more importantly if training is an appropriate intervention that can meet those gaps. Training and development will not fix all perceived problems or weakness 's. Training needs can be described as reactive and proactive. When a organisation identifies a gap in performance…
