The Industrial Revolution took place in the United States and Britain in 1780 to 1850. Child labor was one of the most significant social consequences that affected the Industrial Revolution. Most factories were in need of cheap labor, and the hiring children with no experience was their best option. Most of the machines didn’t require training so the children picked up on learning how to use the equipment very easily. Another benefit of hiring children is that they did not join unions or go on strike. Labor was in high demand and most of the families would leave their farms to go work in the factories. The working conditions were not safe for children and caused sickness and even death. The children would also work long hours with very little …show more content…
The entrepreneurs and inventors were getting rich and leaving the poor working class people behind. Karl Marx main goal for writing the Communist Manifesto is to shine light on the fact that there was a class struggle and to help the lower class people to rise and revolt against capitalism. Communist theory also resulted from capitalism because it gave way for the workers to have rights and economic equality. The rise of capitalism also divided the rich from the poor. Communist theory is for community ownership instead of personal property and income.
C1: Capitalism vs Communism One significant difference between capitalism and communism is the rights of workers in a communist society. Workers would have a voice in the company that they work for and can give their suggestions on how to benefit the company and themselves. In capitalism the workers wouldn’t have a say so on how their work place would operate. The company owner would have complete control of their working conditions and pay.
