As Program Integration Division transitioned into Program Support Division many organizational changes were implemented. One of which was the acquisition of the contracting responsibility for Capability Package Integration; which included the responsibility of establishing contracting packages for CPD. With the assumption of this monumental task, I provided instructions to the lead and worked with the Business Team to institute sound analytical reasoning and methods to solve contracting problems. One policy established was the requirement that all contracting items go through a single point of contact to ensure that sound procurement decisions were being made. This action alone saved thousands of dollars by eliminating unnecessary purchases
