Introduction
Cap Gemini offers a wide range of services which uses information technology based approach with its new analytics techniques to solve the client’s business problems and sustain its capabilities. Cap Gemini delivers its services in major six strategic sectors which include consumer product and retail, distribution and transportation, energy, utilities and chemicals, financial services (insurance and banking), manufacturing, public sectors and telecom, media and entertainment.
The major promise that expresses Cap Gemini’s philosophy is “People matter, result counts” (Cap Gemini, 2016). This has resulted in Cap Gemini to achieve its business goal and satisfy the clients with its integrated service. Cap Gemini has made progress through its well-known service in consulting (Capgemini Consulting), local professional service (Sogeti), technology service and outsourcing services. Apart from its high performance in the European marketplace, it experienced some struggles in mid-2000s, which have lowered the brand preference in the international market. Accenture, IBM, Cognizant and Deloitte are the major competitors that Cap Gemini faces.
