Introduction of School:
Canning Vale College (CVC) has been established from 2004 for educating approximately 1700 students from Year 7 to Year 12 in the Canning Vale Community, Western Australia. In this college, there are various Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) subjects and resources can be selected and utilized to assist students to achieve at a highest level of outcomes in relation to a career pathway. Moreover, the college has created a significant amount of relationships with other parties to contribute the education opportunities at CVC, including Curtin Universities, abundant working groups, and training institutions being Challenger TAFE. This outcome requires students to gain the ability to analyse and utilize economic information to demonstrate their comprehension of economic events, issues and decisions with proper economic terms, concepts and models (SCSA, 2014). The second outcome is the operation of the economy. After learning economics, students will establish an understanding of the main elements that influence the disciplines the economy performs and the effects of economic preferences (SCSA, 2014). Thirdly, students need achieve the outcome related to economic policy and action. Students will be capable of justify how the economic operations will be affected by the government involvement (SCSA, 2014).
Consistent with these requirements, the study of this Economics course will apply the real world examples such as the stock market, oil prices and real estate prices to assist students to understand economic theories for analysing social issues and recognizing feasible solutions which contribute decision making. Moreover, this Economic course will develop the abilities of students to apply the studies to investigate the allocation, consumption and distribution of limited resources that impact human beings’ wealth and wellbeing.
