Hello Everyone, I'm Olivia MacDonald, Leader of the Green Party of Canada. Im here to tell you how together we can make Canada and Astral Drive a better place.

First, as you may be aware, Canada has on of the highest rates of cannabis use in the world, 44% of Canadians say they have had it at least once. 28% of teenagers admit to having used it, which more than any other developed country. Our current system of cannabis control is failing to prevent or reduce the harms associated with use. I believe the solution is the legalization of the substance combined with strict regulations, similar to alcohol with an minimum age, and laws created around driving while high and underage consumption. Cameras would also provide accurate and unbiased evidence for prosecution. One city in California introduced body camera, use of force by officers fell by over 60% and complaints against police fell 88% I believe that they would be very effective here as well and would be beneficial to everyone involved.

Consider this, almost everyone in prison is going to get out, and a very high percentage of them have serious mental health issues, our justice system may be counterproductive by not giving these people the access to the proper treatment they need. If they are going to be living among us soon, with specialized treatment, and more attempts to educate and humanize them, we are more likely to help shape peaceful citizens.

Raising mininum wage is one way we plan to help canadians who are struggling to support their families get their feet on ground.

Also, we plan to lower the cost of tuition, This will hopefully make it easier for
