Cannabis use is a high-profile issue in today’s world, an issue that is being discussed in many different fields. With the topic receiving so much attention publicly in political, legal, and health communities, Canadian youths’ views and stances on the subject are constantly being influenced. Many youth feel that cannabis is natural, safe and not addictive. All three of these statements are, however, incorrect. These misconceptions are likely a factor in the shockingly high rates of cannabis use among youth.
