Cannabinoids
CBG-A
Formula: C22H32O4
Molecular Mass: 360.48708 g/mol
LD50 (Lethal Dose): Unknown. May be similar to CBG, 300mg/kg for mice. (Compare to Nicotine for rats – 50mg/kg)
Therapeutic Uses:
Analgesic
Antibacterial
Anti-inflammatory
Anti-proliferative (inhibits cancer cell growth)
Cannabigerollic acid (CBGa) makes all other medicinal effects of cannabis possible. Through different types of biosynthesis it becomes THCa/THC, CBDa/CBD, CBCa/CBC and CBG. CBGa can be thought of as the building block cannabinoid. Hemp strains of cannabis have higher amounts of CBG because of a recessive trait, implying higher amounts of CBGa in those strains.

Cannabichromene (CBC) is the second most abundant cannabinoid in marijuana and is formed when CBCA is heated. CBC is the end product of CBG being processed into CBGa and then into other cannabinoids. CBC is non-psychoactive and has been shown to be ten times as powerful as CBD at reducing anxiety and stress.
CBL-A 10
Cannabicyclol acid (CBLA) is formed when CBCA absorbs UV light. CBLA is a degradation product.
CBL
Cannabicyclol (CBL) forms when cannabicyclol acid (CBLA) is heated or exposed to UV light.
Terpenes
More than 120 types of terpenes have been identified in cannabis. Terpenes give cannabis its unique scent and taste. Terpenes are organic compounds that are found in many plants as well as insects. Terpenes convert to Terpenoids through drying, curing, or chemical extraction. A terpene like Limonene can be distilled from the skin of citrus fruits. Each plant’s unique terpene affects aroma, flavor, and medicinal …show more content…
Most cannabinoids and terpenes are anti-inflammatory or analgesic but terpinolene is neither. It helps fight cancer and is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. Terpinolene has sedative effects. Outside the body it has shown to be a repellant of mosquitoes and weevils.
Linaool
Also found in lavender. Relieves anxiety and stress. Is a strong anticonvulsant and is said to amplify serotonin receptor transmission. Linaool has antidepressant effects and is effective topically to heal tissue and reduce scarring.
Phytol
Phytol is unique from other terpenes, offering other medical options. Phytol is the byproduct of decomposed chlorophyll. It has floral and balsamic aroma. It is an immunosuppressant and impedes the activity of Aflatoxin (a mycotoxin) in the body. It is used topically to reduce itching and to treat slow-healing wounds.
Beta Myrcene
Beta Myrcene is also found in mango, lemongrass and hops. It is analgesic and anti-inflammatory and has shown to have anti-tumor qualities. Beta Myrcene helps with muscle spasms and insomnia. When consumed in high levels it contributes to the “couch lock” effect of cannabis.
