A candy-heist film, featuring a Halloween showdown between a cranky old man and his trick-or-treating nemesis. They clash, only to discover that they share a sweet tooth and a love for the holiday in this nostalgic comedy
The Indie Grants program provides an unmatched opportunity for filmmakers open to its unique advantages. The program will provide myself and my current producer with another producer. The commission Brad Jayne will come in with his own interpretation of the production as well as new talented crew members to augment and in some cases replace those on my own list. While I’ve gone on to solve all the difficult production aspects myself I do it as a proof of concept not as an end. It is a fact that I will embrace …show more content…
I’ve fallen back in love with color during that shoot and I think audiences will too, I’m talking bold colors and great textures. Wide lenses because you’ve read the script, Candy Corn knows it’s getting shot anamorphic and when a movie knows what it wants the director’s job is to listen. This can be our love letter to cinema and the great story tellers all across human geography and history.
If you want to get a sense of what Candy Corn could do for you it's best to take a look at my last two movies. Both were pitched for Indie Grants in years past and while they didn’t receive funding, my team and I found a way to produce them anyway. Without state support, compromises had to be made but that’s not new for any successful Indie production. The important thing is that despite a drastic handicap in initial awareness and funding we kept our grant pitch promises. Both movies where finished following Indie Grant criteria and deadlines, and both hit quality quotas and far exceeded our ambitions for audience appreciation and
